A Weekend In Denver, CO
Denver, the perfect two day trip for us, we didn’t rent a car, and walked A LOT, but we also saw a lot. Here’s what to do and what to eat.
TO DO
Rino Art District - walk the entire street and pop into random shops, it’s so much fun!
Denver Central Market - (inside Rino Art District, this is where we started) it’s great to see the different food stands, you can eat here but it’s best for a quick snack. Make sure to check the signs they have up at the time you visit, when we went there was a free comedy show happening that night!
Modern Nomad - (inside Rino), this is a great vintage shop, go explore and if you’re looking to have a good time, head upstairs for a mini sex shop. (yes you read that right).
Milk Market - heads up, it closes early so leave yourself enough time to explore and also grab some food. Plenty of cute photo ops and places to shop here!
City Hall - yeah, we’re those people that also like to see a bit of history, it’s not the best area around here so I wouldn’t visit at night, but it’s still neat to see and you can walk to 16th Street Mall from here.
16th Street Mall - a looonnggg outdoor street full of mainstream stores and food spots.
Commons Park - bring some snacks or just walk around, this park is beautiful with a river running through and tons of grass fields!
TO EAT
Snooze - this was our first stop in Denver and we don’t regret it. The breakfast burrito is BOMB, a must get. I highly recommend getting one sweet and one salty, it’s way more fun that way.
Hopdoddy Burger Bar - probably some of the best burgers we’ve ever had. We got two burgers, the Llano Poblano and their specialty of that week with a caesar salad and fries, let’s just say I wouldn’t miss this spot next time we’re back.
Avanti Food and Beverage - there are a few different food joints inside, we had the pizza, sat upstairs on the balcony, and stayed way longer than we should have but it was a blast! Pizza was delicious.
Little Man Ice Cream - the banana split was the best I’ve ever had, make sure to check the schedule because they do fun events like bingo! If you eat at Avanti you can walk to this shop! PS. it’s all outdoor seating.
WHAT WE DIDN’T DO BUT WOULD NEXT TIME:
Coors Field - we visited during COVID shut downs so there were no games but I would definitely go if I could!
Denver Mint - one of the places in the US that money gets printed at.
The Cherry Cricket - looks like a great environment to hang out and have some food.
Rye Society - sandwich shop that specializes in pickles - YES PLEASE. (Rino)
Dio Mio - logo looked cool and food looked bomb. (Rino)
The Inventing Room Dessert (at Sloan Lake)
Linger (great rooftop brunch spot next to Little Man Ice Cream)
